The standard is God's not ours. But we cannot expect unbelievers to live by biblical principles to which they dont subscribe. That comes after salvation (or at least it should). Our focus should be to reach unbelievers with the gospel, not to nitpick their lifestyle choices beforehand. Part of this involves an acknowledgement that we are all sinners who are in need of a Savior. But attempting to force sanctification on those who are not yet justified, however, is putting the cart before the horse and is not our role. When it comes to the Body of Christ, on the other hand, we are to admonish each other, and encourage each other to let go of the sinful ways from when we were living in the flesh.Maeve McDonaldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14703232794336442533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9209804225211914114.post-3506509578404031302015-04-03T18:18:04.611-07:002015-04-03T18:18:04.611-07:00Excellent article. His standard of perfection applies to EVERYbody, no? Seems like there's a bit of a contradiction or disconnect there (or maybe I'm missing something). And sin in a culture isn't amorphous: it grows from sin in individuals.WhimsicalMadCaphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07877640093577755904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9209804225211914114.post-26579783415724828312013-11-14T07:29:29.078-08:002013-11-14T07:29:29.078-08:00For those struggling with sexual brokenness, this ...For those struggling with sexual brokenness, this is a wonderful Christ-centered ministry. http://regenerationministries.org/Maeve McDonaldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14703232794336442533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9209804225211914114.post-65553835993469263412013-11-14T07:08:00.500-08:002013-11-14T07:08:00.500-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Maeve McDonaldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14703232794336442533noreply@blogger.com
